NGE - Rei and Asuka by Okama
A little while ago Raezr helped me identify an image by Okama (artist site) Since then I’ve been learning more about this artist - and discovering all the things by him I’ve enjoyed without even realizing he was involved. His renditions of Rei and Asuka are just too cute. I’ve put up a selection of his original works to enjoy below.
- Bought a Himawari figure
- Thought Getsumen Usagi Heiki Mina looked super fun
- Do want super-cute Rei & Asuka figs
Lucky Star - Konata & Tsukasa Share Bread
It’s time again for a delicious serving of Lucky Star! On today’s menu is ‘pan’ (Japanese for bread) and Konachan and Tsukasa are gonna do the taste test! Bread was introduced to the Japanese by the Portuguese about 500 years ago - the Spanish word for bread is ‘pan’ - so it seems the Japanese used the same word as the gaijin did. Since then, the Japanese have developed many of their own signature breads. Interested in both bread and anime? - try Yakitate Japan, an anime about bread. I wasn’t so into it, but you might enjoy it!
NGE - Yoshiyuki Sadamoto
Yoshiyuki Sadamoto is best known for the character designs in Gainax’s Neon Genesis Evangelion, but he has had a prolific career - involved in creating character designs for a myriad of material from Nadia to The Girl who Leapt Through Time. He has also published an artbook called Der Mond which I’d love to get. The Wiki page can give you a thorough breakdown of his work. All I have to say is, Ayanami Rei and Asuka Langley wouldn’t be as immortal as they are today with this fantastic artist. In this image, you can see the Rei and Asuka character styles in the hairstyles, faces and poses. The retro scooters are extra win.
Moe Mondays - Sakura Musubi, Sera Karen
This moelicious character is Sera Karen from the ero-game Sakura Musubi by Cuffs. From her blush, she looks as if she might be reading a bit of ero material herself!
Shakugan no Shana
It’s hard to find an image of Shana where she doesn’t look pretty kickass, or pretty cute. And that applies to both the flaming red hair as well as the jet black hairdo. There are lots of really nice pvc figures of her available also.
Haruhi Clubroom Antics
In honor of Easter, here is Haruhi in her classic bunny outfit causing poor Mikuru grief while Yuki chills out and reads a book (nice nurse costume!)
Happy Easter!
First Easter post - a pair of bunny eared girls. Source unknown.
Weekend is Fun Time! PS2, Cocoa & Pocky!
There is nothing better than spending the weekend hanging out with a bunch of friends, getting your game on while enjoying some yummy snacks and drinks. These four girls look like they’re having a bunch of fun. I think red-shirt girl is pwning meganeko girl quite easily. Wonder what game they might be playing?
Unhappy Not-Quite-Yet Easter! Chocho Police
It’s Easter time, and frankly, as much as I like cutesy stuff, I’m a bit tired of seeing bunnies and chicks everywhere. In celebration of it not actually being Easter quite yet, here is another piece by Chocho Police of one of their signature moody-girls tearing the ears off a plush bunny. Grrrr! (Don’t worry, cute unharmed bunny pics tomorrow!)
De Capo 2 - Nanaka & Yume at the Beach
De Capo II (D.C. II) is the adult visual novel (read: ero-game) sequel to the original De Capo (no surpise!) game. Here we see Shirakawa Nanaka & Asakura Yume in their swimsuits at the beach. If you wanna see them in more nsfw states of undress, I’m sure you can find something easily! >.< The style of gameplay is essentially choose-your-own-adventure with text and visual cues, from which you can follow up to 6 storylines.
