Range Murata has a highly recognizable style which very often involves young girls with his distinctive character design which he combines with art deco elements. For such a well-known artist, he has done surprisingly little official anime / manga work - focusing instead on artbooks and doujinshi. He also compiled and edited ‘Robot’, showcasing the contemporary Japanese art of others. This piece is from his own artbook Form | Code. I’m most familiar with his work through the anime Last Exile - which is one of my favorite series.
