Edit: Show is Minami-ke, character is Minami Haruka. Thanks to Chris for the ID. I watched the first ep for this show and was really put off by the design of the characters’ mouthes, which look like they all have cleft lips >.< Also, the ‘hair-horn’ of one character is just weird.
I imagine this is official artwork.
I don’t know anything about Minamike, but a quick kanji look-up brings up what looks like a page on Minamike 2 staff. You can find the names there.
I’m not good at translating names from kanji to pronounciation, but I’ll try (and maybe fail) here. Alongside are the listed jobs on the image’s corner, and in parenthesis are the animated series jobs listed on the web page I linked to.
The series name is given as:
みなみけ〜おかわり〜
This is, of course:
Minamike~Okawari~
Below that is:
Danake or Denchuu] Seiki (Character designer for Minamike 2)
(Original artwork artist for Minamike 2)
Fukutani or Fukuya] Naoki (Color planner for Minamike 2)
Oda [or one of many close variations] [Hiroshi or Hirokyuki] (Original artwork artist for Minamike 2)
The studios these staff work for are also listed, but I already put over ten minutes into this, so I’m bored with it now =P Kanji is not my specialty…
I came here via your post on the AnimeNano forum. If you do decide to add written content alongside your posts, you may consider writing your thoughts on the image, what you like about it, why you’ve chosen to post a particular image when you surely have a large amount to choose from.
Remember, as someone said on the AnimeNano thread, just posting images isn’t going to be any different for the viewer than going to an imageboard. If you’re looking to increase your readership (viewership?), I’d recommend starting by asking yourself, “What content can I provide visitors that they aren’t already getting on imageboards? How can I compete, and make adding my site worthwhile for visitors to add to their feed reader.”
Just random thoughts from someone who doesn’t visit imageboards (and thus photoblogs limited to posting lone images), but happened to follow a link leading here.
By the way, congrats on hearing back from Hung on your blog. I submitted my site (then mostly episode commentaries) last year, and never heard back =P
Thanks much for the pic ID and the feedback on the blog! I’ve already switched over to a text-augmented format that should provide some value add.
